St. Luke's children understand the importance of helping others, and always discuss ways to help others in Sunday School. Here are just some of the things they do:

  • Help their parents protect the environment by practicing 3r’s of the environment: reduce, reuse and recycle
  • Help others by contributing non-perishable food, toys, mittens and scarves to Community Care throughout the year and at special times, such as, Thanksgiving and Christmas
  • Be kind to others and visit those who are sick or need somebody to talk to
  • Write letters to their Foster child especially on their birthdays and at Christmas

In March 2011, a group of St. Luke's children visited long-time church members Ruby and Royal to wish them well just before they moved to Grimsby.  They sang some songs, brought them some gifts they had made, and said the Lord’s Prayer with them.  Ruby and Royal later told Rev. Ellie they were delighted the children had visited and it made them feel better about moving.
